The Coca-Cola Co. will add chairman to CEO Muhtar Kent's responsibilities, replacing Neville Isdell, who will not run for re-election in April. Isdell said Kent, who joined Coca-Cola in 1978, "is providing outstanding leadership as he manages both for today and tomorrow."
Muhtar Kent, president and CEO of Coca-Cola Co., has been elected to the Grocery Manufacturers Association board of directors during its annual meeting. Kent began working for Coca-Cola Co. in Atlanta in 1978.
The University of Alabama has signed a deal with Buffalo Rock, which distributes Pepsi products, to stock snack and beverage vending machines on campus. The university's contract with The Coca-Cola Co. will end next month.
