Student-teacher Iman Abamoussa's fourth-grade lesson on quadrilaterals included four-sided tiles used in Moroccan mosaics, a technique she learned at Toronto's York University. That's the kind of respect for other cultures that the Toronto school board wants to see more of as it struggles to make its classrooms more inviting to students from diverse backgrounds.
