Bob Crandall, formerly chairman of American Airlines, wants Sens. Barack Obama, D-Ill, and John McCain, R-Ariz., the major parties' presumptive presidential candidates, to consider the issues currently plaguing travel and transportation in the U.S. "I'd like for them to say, 'We have a terrible energy crisis, and one of the biggest users is transportation. If elected, I'll have a transportation program that revitalizes 8,000 miles of rail lines in my four years,'" Crandall said.
