Former Pakistan premier eyes old job

Nawaz Sharif, who was ousted in a military coup by current embattled President Pervez Musharraf, is maneuvering to retake the presidency in Pakistan. Though he currently rates an 86% approval rating, making him by far Pakistan's most popular politician, Sharif can seek office only after Pakistan's Supreme Court overrules Musharraf's ban on third-term presidencies and a court ruling barring Sharif from parliament.
