U.S. drilling activity continued its climb last week, with 1,913 rotary rigs active, the highest weekly count in more than 22 years. It was up seven from the previous week, and 138 higher than in the same week last year, Baker Hughes reported. Gas drilling and land operations accounted for most of the gains. Canada's rig count grew by 97 to 356 last week.
