Publicis Groupe-owned media firm ZenithOptimedia downgraded its outlook for U.S. advertising spending, forecasting a 3.4% increase this year versus an earlier prediction of 3.7%. Bruce Goerlich, head of U.S. research at Zenith, said: "It's like a slow-leaking balloon. We are not seeing dramatic cuts; marketers are just being cautious."
