Campbell Soup told consumers this week that its products made with cooked tomatoes and jalapenos are safe. "There is currently no evidence of transmission of the salmonella through consumption of processed foods containing tomatoes, jalapenos or any other vegetables, because normal cooking temperatures, such as those used in preparing Campbell products, will inactivate the bacteria," the company said in a statement.
