Internet usage up in Brazil

Although home connectivity is not especially widespread, possibly being too costly for the majority of its people, Brazil has by far the largest population of Internet users in Latin America. EMarketer forecasts Brazil will have 38.8 million Internet users in 2008 -- a penetration rate of 20.2%. In 2012, these numbers are expected to rise to 56.7 million and 28.5%, respectively.
