Sen. John McCain's nuclear-power proposals are becoming the cornerstone of his energy plan as well as his vision for economic recovery. Noting that the U.S. economy has shed 400,000 jobs since December, the GOP presidential hopeful said his plan to build 45 new nuclear plants "will create over 700,000 good jobs to construct and operate them." McCain also said his proposal to offer a $2,500 tax credit to individuals who buy their own health insurance was good for small business and job creation.
