An analysis of seven studies found that pregabalin, an epilepsy drug also known as Lyrica, proved safe and effective in easing diabetic neuropathy -- pain in the hands and feet that diabetics frequently experience. The 150-, 300- and 600-mg doses of the drug "significantly reduced pain and pain-related sleep interference" when split into three pills taken throughout the day, researchers said.
