The ACC says bipartisan measures introduced in the House and Senate offer encouragement that Congress may finally be working to resolve the nation's energy crisis. The Senate bill demonstrates "the importance of greater access to drilling in the Outer Continental Shelf as part of a comprehensive U.S. energy policy," while the House bill "includes the building blocks of sound energy policy -- efficiency, conservation, diversity and expanded access to domestic energy supplies," said ACC President Jack N. Gerard.
