Time Warner's second-quarter earnings were down 26% from the year-ago period to $792 million, a drop partly attributed to its AOL division, which suffered a 29% drop in subscription revenue and saw its operating income fall by 36%. AOL, which is transitioning to an ad-driven model, but still has 8.1 million subscribers, reported a 2% increase in ad sales.
