Bernie Brillstein, who died last week at 77, made a fortune off "Hee Haw," plucked puppeteer Jim Henson from obscurity and sold NBC on a show called "Saturday Night Live." Other managers were content to charge 15% of a client's salary, but he figured out that the real money was to be made by harnessing teams of talent and acting as a "TV packager."
