Qualcomm may have lost a key executive when Sanjay Jha resigned to lead Motorola's cell phone division, but it gained a powerful and sympathetic voice at an important customer, Qualcomm CEO Paul Jacobs suggested. He said he believed Jha's familiarity with Qualcomm might give the company an edge over rival Texas Instruments when it tries to sell 3G chips to the handset maker.
