Physicians plan to spend more of their research time online in coming years, according to a survey by Manhattan Research. Currently, 41% of doctors get their pharmaceutical information from online sources, but a majority of those surveyed said they would prefer that most of their information about drugs and devices come from electronic sources. The doctors also said they planned to spend less time traveling to conferences and reading traditional journals and will instead turn to online journals and virtual conferences.
