The new "InPrivate" setting on Microsoft's Internet Explorer 8 allows users to browse the Web without collecting cookies or caching information on site visits. It also will block transmission of tracking information to ad networks after 10 interactions. IAB's VP-public policy Mike Zaneis suggested that widespread use of this feature could have a negative effect not just on ads, but on analytic and metrics as well.
