A female HIV patient who has never shown symptoms and can control the virus without using drug cocktails may provide clues to develop an AIDS vaccine, U.S. scientists said. The woman, who was infected by her husband and diagnosed 10 years ago, carries CD8 T-cells in her immune system that arrested HIV replication by as much as 90%, the study found.
