Despite the global financial crisis that has plagued much of the industry, Temasek, a sovereign-wealth fund in Singapore, said profit for the year to March 31 doubled from the same period last year. Temasek, which has invested billions of dollars in Barclays and Merrill Lynch, said asset sales and the strong performance of investments contributed to the profit jump. Still, Chairman S. Dhanabalan warned about the outlook in the fund's annual report.
