Cindy Christy, the head of Alcatel-Lucent's Americas region, is resigning for "personal reasons," to be replaced on an interim basis by Jim Cocito, her chief operating officer, the company said Friday, but gave no timetable for her departure. Christy resigned three days after the company named former BT Group CEO Ben Verwaayen to replace colleague Pat Russo as CEO.
