Under pressure to do something about the economy, Democrats in Congress are pushing for a $50 billion stimulus package, the second of the year, but Republicans are resisting. Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama urged the passage of the package and said he wants the package to include a tax rebate for individuals and aid to states for health care, education and other costs, but the plan faces opposition from the White House.
