Google's attempt to put its lucrative search-related ads in front of mobile-phone users has created little buzz among developers and consumers, according to this analysis, which says the open-source Android operating system has failed to generate much excitement yet among consumers. Developers say they are taking a wait-and-see attitude toward Android, rather than rush to produce applications for a platform whose future could largely lie in the hands of handset makers and telecom carriers.
