It is so slimy and revolting that even some Japanese consider it too disgusting to eat. Yet maguro-natto has its fans -- those who consider the dish a complex blend of flavors and textures. The dish features cubed raw tuna, fermented soybeans, radish sprouts and a dollop of wasabi blended with a raw quail egg and soy sauce and served over rice.
