Although TV-station Web sites still lag behind newspaper sites in terms of revenue, they are growing their online ad base at a considerably faster rate, according to a joint report from BIA Financial Network and Borrell Associates. The study found TV-station Web site ads in the past six years have posted a 67.2% compound annual growth rate, compared to 33.5% growth for newspaper sites and 40.5% for the general local Web ad market.
