Lance Armstrong, known for his personal battle with cancer and for launching the LiveStrong organization, placed first on the list of the most-influential stars involved in cause marketing and non-profit groups, according to a survey of around 500 executives by Octagon unit First Call. Angelina Jolie, known for her work with UNICEF, placed second, and her husband, Brad Pitt, cited for helping rebuilding New Orleans amid the devastation of Hurricane Katrina, was sixth.
