A study of more than 100,000 interviews with parents found that parents of young children who were breast-fed as infants were less likely to report behavior problems or psychiatric illness in the first five years of their child's life. Researchers also noted that the effect may be cumulative, with those children who were breast-fed for a longer period of time even less likely to have behavior problems.
