Julie Sormark, who has been teaching English for more than 35 years, returned to South Korea after more than a decade to find the country had revamped its approach to English education among primary students, focusing more on communication than grammar and vocabulary. This change improves children's pronunciation of the new language and alleviates many frustrations that can occur when learning English, making children more successful, Sormark said.
