Politicians and residents of Snohomish County, Wash., are split by Horizon Air's request to begin commercial passenger service at Paine Field in the city of Everett. The mayor and city council both support the plan to fly turboprop aircraft to several cities in the Northwest, but county leaders and nearby residents have voiced opposition. The general aviation airport is currently used by Boeing Co. for deliveries of wide-body jets, though Allegiant Air also is seeking permission to operate passenger flights.
