Scientists from the universities of Aberdeen, Dundee, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Stirling and St. Andrews in Scotland will work together on a $69 million project to build Europe's first virtual brain-imaging laboratory. The SINAPSE project aims to advance research into brain conditions, including strokes, Alzheimer's disease, schizophrenia and cancer. The project will make use of PET, MRI, CT scanners and other imaging equipment.
