Studies show there are some diet tricks that work, according to researchers at the Obesity Society's meeting in Phoenix. People who munched on 100-calorie snack packs actually ate about 120 fewer calories per day than people who grabbed snacks from a regular-sized bag. Also, filling your plate half-full with vegetables reduces calorie intake during a meal -- and adding some light butter flavor to the veggies results in even greater calorie reductions.
