Nearly one in five U.S. employees is disaffected, and each one costs employers $13,000 in lost productivity, according to Gallup research. "People don't behave like this for no reason -- it's a reaction to the way their jobs are structured and, more importantly, the way they are being managed," says business writer Robin Stuart-Kotze.
