Microsoft Corp.'s Windows Live, in a move that will make it a direct rival of Facebook and MySpace, will offer a bundle of online applications that will combine under one platform e-mail, instant messaging, photos and other Web applications. Under the new service, user updates on their Windows Live main profile page can be set to appear on some 50 other Web sites, including Yahoo!'s Flickr photo site and career-oriented social networking site LinkedIn.
