The Missouri Department of Natural Resources is restoring a stone wall built by the Civilian Conservation Corps more than 70 years ago in Roaring River State Park. The wall, which is on the National Historical Register, surrounds a spring pool. "We have to make sure that we maintain the existing structure using materials and methods that were used in the original work that the CCC did in the 1930s," noted Sandra Walther, DNR Division of Missouri State Parks architect.
