The Museum of Arts and Design recently re-opened in a white marble building in midtown Manhattan. After an extensive redesign that cost almost $100 million, the building now has a facade covered with ceramic tiles and more glass on the exterior to allow light inside. "We sort of see this building as the first object in our collection," said Holly Hotchner, the museum's director. "It's actually a piece of sculpture."
