Just in time for Thanksgiving, the TSA says it is opening slower-paced family screening lanes at 533 checkpoints in every large and mid-sized airport across the U.S. Travelers with large amounts of liquids also will be directed to the family lanes, which feature bottle scanners capable of detecting dangerous fluids. The new lanes, scheduled to open by Nov. 20, will become a permanent feature at all checkpoints with two or more screening lanes.
