More than one in four young adults ages 18 to 24 chat about a favorite brand in an online discussion forum, 23% download brand-related content to their IM service and 19% placed marketer content on their homepage or top social sites, according to a survey of 12,603 users in 26 countries by Aegis Group's Synovate. The report also showed users in this demographic went online for nonwork activity every day for an average of 2.5 hours, and almost half clicked on banner or online ads.
