Firms in India can expect more IT projects being sent from the U.S. as American companies try to cut costs to weather a recession, according to a study by Offshoring Research Network, Duke University and PricewaterhouseCoopers. "Enhancing efficiencies has become more urgent in recent months as pressure on margins forces companies to increase productivity while spending less," said Arie Lewin, professor of strategy and international business at Duke University.
