Some 66% of burger restaurant customers say the In-N-Out chain provides the most satisfying experience overall, putting it first on a list of hamburger outlets, according to the 2013 Quick Service Restaurant Benchmark Study. Five Guys was ranked second, with 57%, and Whataburger, with 49%, third.
Priscilla Candies, in Lawrence, Mass., has been hand-pulling candy canes for more than 80 years. The company experiments with flavors from anise and chocolate to molasses, but peppermint remains the perennial favorite.
Chocolate paradise can be found around the world, with every region offering a particular tasty slant. Belgium is the undisputed center, with some 2,000 chocolate shops, but cities such as Seattle; Berkeley, Calif.; Hershey, Pa.; and Tuscany, Italy, all offer their own take on the treat.
To celebrate the holidays, 7-Eleven will provide 375 free cases of Heavenly Blend Coffee to churches, temples and houses of worship in Long Island, N.Y. "With today's economic situation, this is one small way we can support the efforts of those who work within our communities," a company executive said.
