The percentage of minorities in executive positions in advertising is still less than half of those in other fields, some two years after 16 top agencies reached an agreement with the New York City Commission on Human Rights to boost their diversity. That statistic is part of a draft report on minorities in advertising being prepared by attorney Cyrus Mehri, who has handled racial discrimination suits against Coca-Cola and Texaco. Mehri has not said whether he plans to file a lawsuit to address the industry's diversity issues or try to negotiate to improve the number of minorities, according to this article.
