Writing a good blog post isn't rocket science, but it is slightly different from how you might dash off an e-mail to a friend or meticulously craft a formal business memo. The key, Joel Postman points out, is understanding you're writing for a different medium. While the same rules for grammar and punctuation still apply (no LOLs, please!), your tone is probably going to be less formal than in a memo to your boss.
