Eight global companies were reviewed for a new Packaged Facts report, "Top Global Food and Beverage Companies: Strategies for Success." Executives said health is a leading driver of innovation, as companies work "to be accountable for and help promote healthier lifestyles," according to the report.
Karen Barth of Gloucester, Mass., has created Flavrz, juices that are low in sugar and made with natural ingredients. The juices, sweetened with agave syrup and taste-tested by her children, are available in small grocery and health-food stores throughout New England and New York.
