Parker Hannifin Corp. posted net income of $155.4 million for the second quarter, a 26.7% drop from the second quarter of the prior year. The manufacturer of fluid power systems has seen a 5% decline in quarterly sales because of weak demand. However, the Cleveland company's earnings of 96 cents per share still beat analysts' expectations of 83 cents per share.
