Postponing roof repairs may lead to serious damage inside and outside of a house, experts say. Tim Morten, owner of a roofing company, said most of his business consists of roof repairs. "But sometimes, like right now, we get people who call us out to do an inspection and we find out that it needs to be repaired, but they end up putting it off." The delays may result in damaged drywall and insulation, among other things, Morten said. He also noted that homeowners replacing their roofs can take advantage of new technology that may improve the efficiency of their homes.
