Ryanair, Europe's biggest budget carrier, is reportedly in talks to begin service between Dublin and Buffalo Niagara International Airport, near Niagara Falls, N.Y. The Irish Examiner newspaper says officials from the Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority met last week in Dublin to discuss charter service with Ryanair. "We've got our fingers crossed because they are a big player over there and landing them would open a lot of doors for us," said NFTA Chairman Gregory Stamm. An airline spokeswoman refused to comment on any plans, saying only that "Ryanair meets with lots of airports, and at their request we met [NFTA]."
