A television station in Grand Rapids, Mich., is being praised by LGBT advocates after pulling the plug on a paid one-hour special produced by the anti-gay American Family Association after the group did not agree to a proposed time slot. The show, "Speechless: Silencing Christians," is described as focusing on the "radical homosexual agenda." "Programs like this perpetuate fear and make it unsafe for [LGBT] members to live their lives and be part of this great community," said Colette Beighley, assistant director of Grand Valley State University's Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Resource Center.
