In testimony before Congress this week, Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke is expected to try to reassure lawmakers that help is coming to reverse the economy's downward trend. He also may offer insight into the initiatives that could be taken to curb the recession. "He's going to talk about the Fed still having tools in its tool kit and that it will do whatever it can to get the economy going," said Joseph LaVorgna, a Deutsche Bank Securities economist.
