As the two houses of Congress continue debating how to help small businesses recover from the recession, NFIB has criticized both the House and Senate bills for not providing enough relief or incentives and called for a six-month payroll-tax holiday. The National Small Business Association wants the Small Business Administration to lift the cap it imposes on small- business loans and for 25% of the remaining Troubled Asset Relief Program money to be earmarked for small-business lending.
