Good Chocolate Company's Lavle chocolates will soon make their debut in the UK and Denmark, according to the company. Lavle chocolates use Acticoa, a Barry Callebaut cocoa flavanol that researchers claim can support healthy blood flow, and has already been available in the US and Israel for over a year.
Barry Callebaut is expanding its Terra Cocao line with the addition of Java Dark Chocolate and Cameroon Milk Chocolate and cocoa powder. The line, introduced in 2011, promises beans with zero defects or off flavors.
Swiss chocolate supplier Barry Callebaut has created an alternative to milk chocolate that contains no dairy. The product, made by adding rice powder, inulin and natural flavorings to cocoa liquor and sugar, scored well with consumers, the company says.
Nestle Swiss will expand its range of six airport-targeted chocolate flavors to include five novelty gift packs made from Stora Enso board. "In travel retail, we don't have big marketing budget for television or print advertising, so we focus on appealing packaging," said the brand manager of Nestle International Travel Retail.
