Construction is expected to start next month on a virtual fence aimed at securing the U.S.-Mexico border. The Department of Homeland Security plans to build 17 towers on a 23-mile stretch of border near Sasabe, Ariz., and 12 more along 30 miles of border south of Ajo, Ariz. The tower grids will include an innovative operating system that will manage information collected by cameras and sensors.
