As companies grapple with staying afloat during the tough economy, an engaged work force may not be one of the top priorities, but it should be, according to a recent survey. The survey of 23,600 directors, managers and employees found that employee engagement is one of the top three factors driving a company's success and in building bottom-line performance, and that engaged employees may actually be the key to helping companies survive the downturn.
