While Cisco Systems has mainly flown solo on its data-center business, Juniper Networks said Tuesday that it would align itself with a group of undisclosed companies to provide server, storage and software assistance to the networking company's year-old Status Project. Juniper envisions its Status Project as a six-part data solution that provides tens of thousands of Gigabit Ethernet ports with markedly reduced latency, increased security and greater reliability.
